MY STORY

My passion for healthy aging and preventive medicine did not begin in medical school, it began in childhood.

I was born and raised in Iran in a close-knit farming family as the eldest child and the first grandchild on both my mother’s and father’s sides. Much of my childhood was spent in my family’s farms or in the kitchens of my mother and grandmothers. Those early experiences shaped the philosophy that guides my medical practice today.

From Roots to Wellness

From an early age, I learned the value of healthy soil, seasonal nutrition, homemade cooking, and traditional food preparation, including yogurt, cheese, fermented vegetables, and natural vinegars. Looking back, these experiences became my first lessons in preventive health.

By the age of twelve, I had already decided to become a physician.

During my second year of medical school, an anatomy professor with expertise in complementary medicine inspired me to see that modern medicine and evidence-informed traditional practices could work together. From then on, I became fascinated not only by treating disease but by understanding its root causes and, more importantly, how to prevent it.

Since 2019, Lifestyle Medicine has been the foundation of my clinical practice. Every consultation—whether for a simple illness, a chronic condition, or a preventive health assessment—is an opportunity to improve long-term health. Every patient leaves my clinic with practical, evidence-based lifestyle advice tailored to their individual needs because I believe education is the first step toward lasting health.

Today, my practice integrates Family Medicine, Lifestyle Medicine, Functional Medicine, Precision Medicine, Obesity Medicine, and Healthy Longevity to prevent disease, address root causes, and optimize health at every stage of life. I combine the best available scientific evidence with personalized care to help my patients not only live longer but live healthier.

Healthy aging is not just my profession it is my heritage. I was fortunate to grow up in a family that valued wholesome food, physical activity, meaningful relationships, and a deep connection with nature. Several members of my family have lived healthy, active lives well into their nineties, reinforcing my belief that longevity is not simply about adding years to life, but adding life to those years.

That journey from my family’s farms and kitchens to modern medical practice continues to inspire my mission every day:

To educate, empower, and partner with every patient in building a healthier, longer, and more fulfilling life.

Our family grew fruits, vegetables, herbs, flowers, and medicinal plants, and most of what we ate came directly from our own land. Long before terms such as organic living, gut health, or lifestyle medicine became widely recognized, they were simply our way of life.
